Deal the cards
13 cards are dealt to each of the 2–4 players. The player holding the 3 of Clubs starts the first round.

Play your cards
Play singles, pairs, three-of-a-kinds, or five-card poker hands (straights, flushes, full houses, four-of-a-kind, straight flush). The 2 of Spades is the highest single card.

Beat the previous play
Each play must beat the previous one in the same category and format. You can pass if you can't or don't want to beat it.

4

Empty your hand to win
The first player to get rid of all 13 cards wins. Remaining players score penalty points based on cards left in hand.

Tongits — How to Play

Deal 13 cards to the first player, 12 to the others
Tongits is strictly a 3-player game. The dealer gets 13 cards; the other two receive 12. A central draw pile is placed face-down.

Draw and meld
On your turn, draw from the pile or take a discarded card. Meld sets (three of a kind, four of a kind) or runs (consecutive same-suit cards) face-up on the table.

Dump cards to opponents' melds
You can add matching cards to any player's existing meld on the table to offload unwanted cards from your hand.

4

Tongits or Challenge to end
Win instantly by emptying your hand (Tongits). Or when the draw pile runs out, call "Fight" — lowest hand value wins. Another player can Challenge you at any time.

Place your bet
Choose your chip size and place it in the betting circle. Optional side bets (Perfect Pairs, 21+3) can be placed in separate zones before cards are dealt.

Receive two cards
You get two face-up cards; the dealer gets one face-up and one face-down. Number cards = face value; face cards = 10; Ace = 1 or 11.

Hit, Stand, Double, or Split
Hit to take another card. Stand to hold. Double Down to double your bet for one extra card. Split pairs into two separate hands. Going over 21 means bust.

Dealer reveals — closest to 21 wins
Dealer must hit until reaching 17. Beat the dealer without busting to win 1:1. Blackjack (Ace + 10-value) pays 3:2. Ties push your bet back.

Sakla uses a traditional Spanish-suited deck with cups, coins, clubs, and swords. Each suit has cards numbered 1–12 (with no 8 or 9). Familiarise yourself with the suits before betting.

Before cards are revealed, players bet on specific card combinations laid out on the board. Higher payout combinations have lower probability.
